Khoriya ue Theros (ORIGINAL CHARACTER INFO @RUBI)

• Khoriya ue Theros, ill-acknowledged bastard prince of the Beast Kingdom of Theros.
• Species: Worg, with about a quarter human ancestry on his mother's side. (He's basically a wolf-anthro.)
• Height: 6'7" to the top of his head, and the ears bring him to about 7 feet tall. (On the shorter end for worgs.)
• Age: 35 36
• Gender: Male
• Appearance: 
  
  • Broad-shouldered, heavily muscled, and thickly furred over the shoulders and chest, scarred all over from blade, claw, and battle magic. Medium olive-brown skin that shades into patches of gray-sheened short, velvety fur, a shaggy braided mass of white-streaked dark gray hair, and raggedy dark gray wolf ears, one of them missing a chunk off the side. A long plumed gray tail that usually hangs at a stiff angle, blunt claws, and sharp fangs.
  • One yellow eye and one brown eye, a reminder of his human parentage. There's a long, twisted scar over the brown eye, where it looks like someone maybe had a go at gouging it out.
  • Expression usually stonefaced and indifferent, rarely emotes but has a bad habit of letting his ears and tail reveal his true feelings.
  • Moves with a prowling bestial grace, tightly controlled and tense at all times.
  • XXL sized dick, even for a race of 7ft+ wolf monsters. ;)
  • UPDATED as of 8/26/24: As a result of eating a piece of horrible eldritch divinity, Khoriya has absorbed his MONSTER and is now permanently stuck in its form. Ichor seeps from his flesh and stains the fur of his back and shoulders black, drips over his head to forming a smooth, almost mask-like shape over his face and snout. Iridescent scales ripple through his gray fur. Both of his eyes have turned a brilliant gold. He now has retractable, venomous fangs.
  • His bristling mane ripples and swells with whipping tendrils of hungry shadowy darkness, and his shadow is constantly writhing and unfurling like a fistful of angry snakes.
  • With experience and practice he'll be able to control the manifestation of his new form's power and draw back the... dripping... and the shadow tentacles, causing the mask to dissipate and his eye to turn back to brown with a rim of gold. But he'll always be at least 25% horrible scaly shadow wolf going forward.

• Abilities:
  
  • Worg transformation! Can turn into a big sedan-sized wolf on demand!
  • Berserker Beast Rage. A trait of the ruling line of Theros and proof positive of Khoriya's royal blood, though his control of his berserker instincts is somewhat lacking.
  • Cursed??  Those with any sort of soul/death/strong magical sense can tell that There Is Something Wrong With This Dog. Something hateful, hungry, and powerfully magical is rooted deeply in his soul and winds around him like the coils of a great snake. It grants him some magical immunity (in the 'don't touch what's mine' kind of way) but at a cost. Psychic or spiritual probing will get a magical slap to the face with a wave of black malice and hunger.
  • UPDATED as of 8/26, after Khoriya has absorbed his Monster.
  • Shadow Manipulation. Limited to his new tentacles and an amount of shadow equivalent to about the size of his own.
  • Magic/Energy Absorption & Resistance. He is now highly resistant to (and can absorb) magic, especially of a non-physical nature (for example, throwing a fireball at him will hardly leave a mark, but stabbing him with a flaming sword will do some damage.) With the absorption of other peoples' power, he's gained some resistance to pain and injury and will heal at an accelerated speed.
  • Venom & Mind Control. Khoriya's new fangs drip with black venom that infects his victims with agonizing lustful desperation. Prolonged exposure will (with player permission) also grant him limited mind control over them.
  • Still a Little Cursed but Differently Now (Yikes.) Khoriya has consumed his monster, the ghost haunting/possessing him, and its strength... but that doesn't mean he's not gonna get spiritual indigestion! The spirit's hungry and sadistic nature and its taste for pain and suffering will plague him, sometimes overtake him altogether, and he'll have a hard time distinguishing its latent desires from his own now that they are one and the same.
  • FURTHER UPDATES as of 11/25/24 from plot coin / Void Exploration!
    • Void Push - Khoriya can now repel the Void away from him for a limited distance (about 15 ft. circle with him in the center) and for a limited duration (a couple hours)
    • Void Purge - Khoriya can also purge Void effects from another character to 'cure' them and absorb them into himself (and take on some serious side effects as a result. :)
    • Doing either of these things will cause him significant mental and physical strain and drain his energy, with the potential for other nasty side effects. :) 

• Personality:
  • Projects a front of cold, stoic indifference that can quickly shift into dismissive contempt or cruel brutality, especially when masking uncertainty or unhappiness.
  • Formal, stiff, and awkward when making an effort to be not an asshole. (And a little bit gallant too.)
  • Practical and efficient in words and deeds.
  • Constantly aware of how he might be perceived, recognizing that his every action is held to the standard of his uncle's ruthless and sadistic reign and that any semblance of weakness will be harshly judged and considered an intrinsic flaw of his human blood.
  • Knows himself to be too soft in a way unbecoming of worg royalty. This, paired with his fear of hurting innocents in his berserker's rage, means that Khoriya keeps his distance from others and is fiercely guarded against any sort of closeness or intimacy. Considered a frigid, aloof anomaly in the court of Theros, which follows his uncle's example of aggressive, insatiable sexuality.
  • Unfamiliar with/mistrustful of touch and anything approaching vulnerability
  • Bad At Communication And Also Feelings.
  • Thinks a lot of thoughts that he rarely expresses or acts upon, and is more honorable than he lets on or likes about himself.
  • Not-so-secretly a bit of a soft touch toward servants and underlings
  • Knows he has no one to rely on or trust other than himself. A lonely dog.

• MISC:
  • Religious(?) The worgs of Theros dedicate their prayers to the Moon (the Blessed Moon, the Bloody Moon, Pale and Terrible, Mother and Maker) and Khoriya is no exception. In fact, he appears to be a particularly devout beast, praying twice-daily (morning and evening) whenever he is able. [EDITED as of September, he no longer prays. ]
  • Does NOT like the vets being seen to by doctors, physicians, apothecarists, physickers, or anyone even healer-adjacent.

• MONSTER - ECLIPSE BEAST [ GONE ]
  • tl;dr - possessed shadow tentacle wolf
  • At first glance, the Eclipse Beast looks only a little different from Khoriya in full snarling aggro mode - up close, his gray fur seems to ripple like iridescent, ink-stained scales, his tail a long, tapered reptilian whip, and there's a writhing movement to his bristling mane and his shadow.
  • A new wolfish face is molded to Khoriya's like an ill-fitting mask, both of his eyes shining bright gold, and his fangs unfold like a venomous snake's, dripping with black ichor that infects its victims with agonizing lustful desperation. Prolonged exposure will (with player permission) also grant THE BEAST limited mind control over them.
  • THE BEAST will speak with Khoriya's voice, and may even pretend to be him for short periods of time, but it is an arrogant, hungry thing full of malice and cruelty and only has piecemeal access to Khoriya's knowledge and memories. It delights in pain, humiliation, and despair, and calls itself the one who will devour all.
  • Its shaggy mane ripples and swells with whipping tendrils of shadowy darkness, and it can also manipulate its own shadow to capture and restrain prey.
  • THE BEAST is Highly Resistant to magic of a non-physical nature (for example, throwing a fireball at it will hardly leave a mark, but stabbing it with a flaming sword will do some damage), does not register pain, and will puppet Khoriya's body to attack until he's on the brink of death without care for how much hurt he might sustain.
  • It might eat and fuck its victim at the same time. :)

RESIDING IN: In the woods, in a den he's made out of a damp cave behind a waterfall.

INVENTORY:

- Two sets of well-tailored shirts and pants of fine linen.
- Two sets of 'working/hunting' clothes - roughspun tunics and well-worn breeches, a thick length of rope by way of belt, bartered meat and fur from hunting in the woods.
- BIG OL' BROADSWORD with a wolf-head hilt, granted by Peony.
- Sharper hunting knife, given by Astarion.
- Dull knife little better than a trowel, used for skinning his kills. ( Given to Galamila )
- Leather satchel, finely stitched and well crafted. (Gifted by Bob, who stole it off someone else.)
